Early September. Once bug 55314 has been solved, I plan to start the
back-port to 7.0.x.

Based on past experience, 6-9 months. However, a lot of that is out of
our control. What will really drive this is user uptake of Tomcat 8 and
folks creating bug reports for issues they find (like the issue Dan
Mikusa reported a little earlier).
