Hi Gurus , I am facign a typical problem regarding the special characeter Š š Ž ž which get uploaded into the database in differently when uploaded throgh windows environment and my UNIX environment .
I upload data using 1. TXT and 2. XLS file , when on window setup it uplaoded the uploaded data seems similir form both input file. But when uploaded on UNIX environment set up, the data from XLS file looks different then that of txt file upload . The problem is with Š š Ž ž character specialy . Can anyone guide me what can be the problem. Its an urgent issue. My encoding in java applciation is ISO-8859-1 and On window I have TOMCAT and on UNIX i have Websphere . Thanks a lot.
