They are just changing the name. It's just like "Longhorn" became
"Windows Vista". It's a marketing and political thing and has nothing
to do with the technology.

IFAIKT, Metro is just a set of UI guidelines (and APIs to support
them), not really a platform, language, etc. (like Silverlight, .NET,
etc.).
