Check ur firewall by using telnet like telnet hostname 8080 if it is connecting to the 8080 port, ur firewall is ok.if u are not able to connect,he problem is of firewall.also In some cases like in IE it may not work properly if u simply type hostname:8080, u should use something like http://192.168.1.25:8080/
