I thought the name of the xml file located in : $CATALINA_HOME/conf/[enginename]/[hostname]/
had to match the name of your webapp directory. I just read some documentation for 5.5.9 that says otherwise. It mentions that under certain conditions it will be created for you. But I would like to have a persistent xml file that will not be deleted when I un-deploy the app. Can someone please tell me which is correct?
