Hi Bill, hm, the same logger (name) is not necessarily the same instance due to org.apache.juli.ClassLoaderLogManager with TCCL approach.
But a configuration entry should work for the same category. I am sorry, but I do not have my home computer here (somehow public terminal), I am not able to test anything. Could you provide your logging.properties file?
