Hi. I set up clustering with in memory session replication. The fragment of my config is (tomcat 5.5.12):
<Cluster className="org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.SimpleTcpCluster" managerClassName="org.apache.catalina.cluster.session.DeltaManager" expireSessionsOnShutdown="false" useDirtyFlag="true" notifyListenersOnReplication="true"> <Membership className="org.apache.catalina.cluster.mcast.McastService" mcastAddr="228.0.0.5" mcastPort="45564" mcastFrequency="500" mcastDropTime="3000"/> <Receiver className="org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.ReplicationListener" tcpListenAddress="auto" tcpListenPort="4002" tcpSelectorTimeout="0" tcpThreadCount="60"/> <Sender className="org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.ReplicationTransmitter" replicationMode="pooled" ackTimeout="15000"/> <Valve className="org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.ReplicationValve" filter=".*\.gif;.*\.js;.*\.jpg;.*\.png;.*\.htm;.*\.html;.*\.css;.*\.txt;"/> At http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/changelog.html I read, that in 5.5.13 there were many bugfixes connected with clustering. But it is stable? When 5.5.14 will be stable? Ok, the strange logs are: Dec 9, 2005 10:10:49 AM org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.TcpReplicationThread run SEVERE: TCP Worker thread in cluster caught 'java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer' closing channel java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer at sun.nio.ch.FileDispatcher.read0(Native Method) at sun.nio.ch.SocketDispatcher.read(SocketDispatcher.java:21) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.readIntoNativeBuffer(IOUtil.java:233) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.read(IOUtil.java:206) at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.read(SocketChannelImpl.java:207) at org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.TcpReplicationThread.drainChannel(TcpReplicationThread.java:125) at org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.TcpReplicationThread.run(TcpReplicationThread.java:69) Dec 9, 2005 10:11:06 AM org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.DataSender addStats INFO: Send stats from [10.125.100.3:4,002] Nr of bytes sent=1,038,953 over 600 = 1,731 bytes/request, processing time 0 msec, avg processing time 0 msec Dec 9, 2005 10:11:23 AM org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.TcpReplicationThread run SEVERE: TCP Worker thread in cluster caught 'java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer' closing channel java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer at sun.nio.ch.FileDispatcher.read0(Native Method) at sun.nio.ch.SocketDispatcher.read(SocketDispatcher.java:21) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.readIntoNativeBuffer(IOUtil.java:233) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.read(IOUtil.java:206) at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.read(SocketChannelImpl.java:207) at org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.TcpReplicationThread.drainChannel(TcpReplicationThread.java:125) at org.apache.catalina.cluster.tcp.TcpReplicationThread.run(TcpReplicationThread.java:69) Thanks for help -- RafaĆ "bluszcz" Zawadzki
