Mozilla / Firefox seems to follow the behavior described at this page:
http://www.mozilla.org/docs/netlib/cachefaq.html

I've never seen Mozilla / Firefox cache SSL content to disk, IE on the
other hand does seem to at least for certain types of content when the
right headers are set.
