Seems that many requests (about 100) on a big dir listing cause catalina stop responding, in fact java takes all CPU. After that, a kill is necessary. Configuration files are the default ones. I have experienced the problem on Tomcat 5.5.0 to 5.5.11. Seems that 5.5.12 is not affected. Nobody else has seen this strange behaviour? thanks David Maciejak
