Hi!
A new version of Tapestry URL Rewriter, 2.0.0, was just released. As
always, it can be used with Tapestry 5.2, Apache Public License 2.0,
sources at https://github.com/thiagohp/tapestry-url-rewriter, available at
the Maven Central Repository.
It is not backward-compatible with 1.0.0 because the outgoing URL
rewriting support was completely removed. Why? Because it sucked. On the
other hand, the old rewriter API, in my humble opinion, has some
advantages over LinkTransformer when rewriting incoming requests URLs. So
my opinion is that we should use the best of each. For real life examples,
check the Eloquentia sources at https://github.com/thiagohp/eloquentia.
I've posted an in-depth comparison between both APIs at
http://tapestry.machina.com.br/2013/10/1/tapestry-url-rewriter-2-0-0-released.
It also includes one URL Rewriter API example used in Eloquentia, which
powers machina.com.br itself and uses URL rewriting a lot.
Cheers!
