Have a look at the AJAX Filter CRUD example and the ones that follow it on http://jumpstart.doublenegative.com.au/jumpstart In AJAX Filter CRUD, the method onSelected(Long personId) is returning two zones - listZone and editorZone - but it could perhaps return just the editorZone.
