The ValueEncoderSource error is usually caused by hibernate not being able to
access the database and the bottom of the stack trace is usually the reason.
In this case:
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class
org.hibernate.annotations.common.reflection.java.JavaReflectionManager
at
org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration.createReflectionManager(Configuration.java:2938)
