Last time I checked (it's been awhile, I admit :), tapestry-hibernate didn't support composite keys for auto-valueencoder-generation.
Sounds like tapestry-jpa's support is a bit better in that regard. I haven't looked at tapestry-hibernate in 5.3, though; maybe composite key support was added?
