This doesn't mean you have wrong dependencies. Your stack trace looks like
your application has Hibernate Validator 3, while the support for Beans
Validation specification is in Hibernate Validator 4.
Could you give me a hint where I might have messed it up?
Take a look at the dependency tree (the m2e has a very nice one in the POM
file editor) and see if you don't have two different versions of the same
package in the classpath.
