I did mean one window with multiple tabs. I'm not sure how the tabs are implemented but I've seen a few plugging that use them. M2Eclipse does and I've also used IBM products that do. I'm guessing you can run regular editors in them because the maven one appears to have an XML editor.
You may be correct about having too many tabs, but it would be nice to easily see event handers and properties. There is also the Eclipse Outline view which shows imports, properties and methods.
