Actually, I guess someone in this mailing list found a way to load
template files from a database, so a similar approach could be used for
any other template placement/source.
I left Struts years ago (after producing much commercial software for
it) and never looked back.
I used Struts. I even tough it in curses. Then I realized how complicated
it was when students asked "why so many code and configuration for so
little result"? They were right. Struts 2 is a large enhancement, but it
still follows the same approach (the request-centric one), which is
outdated and requires more coding than component-centric frameworks like
Tapestry, JSF and Wicket.
