Hehe... true, it's not fair to make a person jump all over the inbox

Changing the subject line doesn't usually break a thread, and adding
"Solved" to the subject is a fine practice.

I saw that as I worked my way up the threads... my process is such
that I start with the oldest. I'm usually on top of reading the
mailing list, but I've been slacking.

No need to apologize. Personally I find it convenient for things to be
kept in their thread, perhaps others will disagree. I think it makes
it easier if things are together in a thread for searching as well, so
you can get the whole context of the situation.

Anyway, I'm glad that in the end you found a solution!
