Our app can be persuaded to construct a 3500 character event link.
Debugging the javascript, I can see that the Ajax.Request is set up by
Prototype, and dispatched; then the Tapestry error console pops up with
the message "FULL head", http status 413, null.
I don't know if this is the problem, but URLs with 3500 characters are not
recommended. Some browsers have strict limits on URL length. Internet
Explorer's limit is 2083.
