Richard, u could observe the Tapestry.ZONE_UPDATED_EVENT event that tapestry raises whenever a zone is updated as explained on http://tapestry.apache.org/tapestry5.1/tapestry-core/ref/org/apache/tapestry5/corelib/components/Zone.html
