Purely a Maven question, but you can use the unique version: <artifactId>tapestry-core</artifactId> <version>5.2.0-20100703.003619-102</version>
Or, deploy a snapshot of a library as a released version, for example: <version>5.2.0-mycompany-1</version> (I do that with more dependencies that are not built with Maven I care to count for) Or, if your repository manager supports it, explicitly disable new snapshot updates for specific libs.
