The menu item in the import dialogue is also in the old version available. Just click import and type maven into the filter and you'll see it (no need for the new version). You can also create the whole tapestry-quickstart project with eclipse and that plugin. Maybe a little tutorial in the wiki would help out...? I could make one :)
