One way of doing it is by generating PDF. See http://wiki.apache.org/tapestry/Tapestry5HowToCreateADynamicPDF which uses iText.
You can use JasperReports. There is http://www.chenillekit.org/chenillekit-reports/howto_reports.htmlbut the documentation is non existing.
