I have a similar issue: http://www.nabble.com/Tapestry-5-with-Spring-Security---problem-with-unit-tests.-td21126486.html. The problem is not about PageLinkTarget -> PageRenderTarget, but about the way to properly initialize ComponentInvocationImpl.
