Thanks all for the suggestions. I used the EagerLoad annotation on the implementation class, it worked great. The more I use Tapestery 5's IOC the more I like it. Hive Mind was always a bit of a mystery to me but the new one seems really useful, perhaps its my phobia of 3rd party XML config files. Anyway thanks again.
