I just checked this change into trunk. It's a localized but significant change. Hopefully this will make IE happier, and get us well past the "why is Tapestry output broken" questions. However, being on a Mac, I don't really have a good IE test environment. I would ask that people build the latest Tapestry (or wait for tonight's nightly build) and give this a whirl, to see if it has broken anything. I'm can see the end of the queue of bugs that need to be fixed for the .16 release, which will hopefully become the release candidate. -- Howard M.
