Thanks. I was not precise enough: the application module DOES load when I put it in a jar with a manifest containing the Tapestry-Module-Classes key, but it does not load just by the default name derived in the way described in the documentation.
But now i think that may be due to the developement environment. I'm running jetty 6.1.6 with the the run-jetty plugin under eclipse 3.3, so maybe T5 has some problems finding the package at load time (all other packages in the tree are found, though).
