1) Tapestry-IoC has a nicer way to describe services (even compared to Spring's JavaConfig) 2) Tapestry-IoC has distributed configuration (see http://tapestry.apache.org/tapestry5/tapestry-ioc/configuration.html), Spring doesn't.
