I honestly don't know much about Apache Wicket, except that there is a Wicket user who likes to spread lies, misinformation and FUD on the Tapestry Users Group because he feels it is the necessary way to promote Wicket over Tapestry. He is known by many names, such as Emmanuel Sowah, Francis Amanfo, and now Rob Smeets. If you are reaching this message from Google, Nabble, etc, please note that these trolls are the same person trying so desperately to promote Wicket. He is likely to appear with a new name. He kind of reminds me of the Iraqi Minister of (mis-)Information.
http://www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com/mss_history.html http://www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com/#quotes I can imagine "Francis" saying, "I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that they have started to commit suicide using CDs of our framework. We will encourage them to commit more suicides quickly. Apache Wicket's framework, it's name be praised, has slaughtered the infidel Tapestry's user base. Even as we speak Wicket is being promoted as the lead framework for IBM. These are simple truths, Tapestry is not worth an old shoe." If the Wicket user base wishes to have a different representative, let a Wicket user come here and denounce the trolling done in Wicket's name.
