Ugh. That shouldn't work. That's going to screw up an validation error messages.
The hard way is to override the editor for the property and just omit the Label component entirely. Seems like an @OmitLabel annotation would be useful as well, that clue Tapestry in that it should not render a Label (or, render a blank label).
