No, it just needs a relative path to JBoss, not an absolute one, in build.properties. I've just added a note about this to the Installation page.

Very very nice.
There's a problem with absolute path for jboss.dir properties, you
should use directly ${jboss.dir} under you build.xml and not prefix
that with ${project.dir}.
