You can get this to work. I use the textfield component for editing my bean
objects. This is from a working emplate:
<input t:id="*title*" t:type="*textfield*" t:size="*40*" t:value="*
video.title*" t:validate="*required*" type="*text*" />

My page class has a getVideo method which returns an object that has a
getTitle method.
