You'll have to generate an IExternalLink http://tapestry.apache.org/tapestry4.1/apidocs/org/apache/tapestry/link/ExternalLink.html using the IExternalService (injected into the page) http://tapestry.apache.org/tapestry4.1/apidocs/org/apache/tapestry/engine/ExternalService.html (documentation on how to encode parameters is given mostly on this last javadoc page).
