Ok, I guess I figured what was wrong with this component's java source although now I have another question.
@OnEvent(component="logout") should be @OnEvent(component="actionlink") However, if I put another action link in the same component the annotation on that link's handler will have to be @OnEvent(component="actionlink_0") that's odd. Is there anyway to control this naming? Thanks, Alex.
