Ok, I respect your attempt... but your using the <IMG> tag.

The solution I am seeking does not use <IMG> because the background is already specified and made visible by the CSS.

I am trying to find out HOW to stretch this thing only in CSS using <div id=""/>

Any other takers? Unless you can get that to operate.
