Are you using the very latest and greatest OGNL-version? At least, try version 2.7. If the error persists, try 2.7.1-SNAPSHOT. If it's still there you can file a bug for OGNL.
I'm using the Tapestry 4.1.2 release and its Ognl package version. Should I try a more recent ognl version with T 4.1.2 ?
