In a month or so I might be able to contribute some code. But how to deal with backward compatibility? I mean switching to a tapestry version with dojo 0.9 might oblige people to rewrite custom widget and, in general, dojo code (unless one wants to also retain "old" 0.4.x widgets/support but it would be more complicated).
