Are you talking about the normal "DatePicker" or the "DropdownDatePicker"?

Im not too sure what exactly triggers it, though off the top of my head when it happens to me happens when i get a midly complicated form going only.. which makes me wonder if th epositioning is being affedted by scrolling......
