Zitat von Davide Marchi <dan...@msw.it>:
It is true what you say and I am aware of it and even this could be a solution, but I would like to consider it only as an extreme solution
The simple question is: what do you gain/expect to gain by a backup MX host, why do you need it?
If you setup one and got one MX10 and MX20, the MX20 should be always in sync with the primary MX, especially considering anti spam measures, otherwise you will get spammed to death via the MX20. Doing so is possible, but quite the hassle.
It might make sense, when the MX20 can deliver the emails around the MX10, when the MX10 is down for days/weeks. But only then.
Otherwise, if it's only store+forward it extends the queue lifetime of all emails and the sender will never get the feedback, that the email never was received. And this is truly not the intention of an email.
