No, it is not. Refusing to take part in what you believe is wrong, even if you know the wrong will be done eventually because the Zeitgeist favors it, is a legitimate point of view. Then again, I don't give a rodent's back what Facebook or Twitter does. But I am afraid it won't stop there.
