We have a few thousand vendors in our websites database that I would like to add to a whitelist. I am thinking of creating a /etc/mail/spamassassin/ corewhitelist.cf from this database.
What are the limitations/ repercussions of using a sitewide whitelist? If I have 2000 addresses in the whitelist, will it take an extra 3,30,60,etc. seconds to process an email? base the performance off of a 2GB RAM 1vCPU 5560 Xeon virtual machine. What if this list grows to 20000 entries?
