1) check that your DNS isn't forwarding requests to another DNS.
   Its the 'forward' statement(s) in your DNS configuration.

2) If you haven't got an SPF record for your domain, set one up.
   It's not much use for detecting spam, but will stop you 
   receiving backscatter (spam sent to other domains' non-existent
   users with your address forged as the sender.
   Use http://www.kitterman.com/spf/validate.html to validate
   your SPF record when you've set one up.

3) consider implementing greylisting. When my ISP implemented it,
   my spam:ham ratio went from 80:20 to 20:80 overnight (I use 
   getmail to retrieve e-mail from a mailbox in my ISP's mail server).
