For what it's worth, I also opened the mbox in a text editor and copied the actual raw message (as in, not from the MUA itself, but directly from the mbox), since I suspected exactly what you said. Still no dice, unfortunately.

See the Content-Type and Content-Transfer-Encoding headers.

There were none for this email.

I'm suspecting that it's the "undisclosed recipients" in the To: field that may be causing confusion with Bayes... I think the MUA inserted that, but not entirely positive.
