As far as Bayes, don't get me started! :) I work for an Email Service Provider and about 2 million messages go through our servers every day, so we have Bayes turned off because it would be too computationally expensive. I wish we could turn it on - it'd certainly make my job easier - but The Boss says no. Go figure. Autolearn, same story.
SA 3.4 (trunk) has a Redis backend which is amazingly fast, adds next to zero overhead compared to some SQL or file based backend.
Since January I've been using it on 14 spamd machines querying a dual server Redis cluster, with enabled autolearn.
One hardly notices any performance difference with or without Bayes. You'd love it. If your boss needs any convincing/specs, contact me offlist.
