Ah, I see. Well, if the mail server already supports SpamAssassin you should
first try to connect them to each other. There should be anything like a
hostname option in the configuration settings of the server. But please
consider that this mailing list is intended for SpamAssassin specific
questions, for detailed instructions on how to connect the ArgoSoft server you
should refer to their official support. They will also need to tell you what
the configuration of SpamAssassin has to look like. You need to know if default
configuration is ok or if the mail server needs any special header information
to be able to parse the SpamAssassin results.
In case of SpamAssassin I'm pretty sure it's working fine. You can check that
by using the GTUBE test mail (sample-spam.txt) that should reside in your
installation directory.
A 'spamassassin < sample-spam.txt' should give you a result like this:

That confirms that your SpamAssassin installation is basically working as
intended.

Thanks for replying, Daniel.
Ultimately, once I feel comfortable with SpamAssassin and I'm confident that
it's all working properly, I want to throw the switch so my mail server so the
server rejects spam identified e-mail.
The mail server is ArgoSoft Mail Server.Net which has built in support for
SpamAssassin.
