Hi! I am using spamassassin 3.2.5 on debian linux squeeze to filter emails
for my personal domain.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but i've looked at the SA
manpages as well as googled this but found very little information about
this feature.

I was wondering how to enable the feature related to
"originating_ip_headers" so that emails from Hotmail users that have the
header "X-Originating-IP" will have this IP virtually processed as a
"received by" header to do RBL analyses.

One of my friends is also running the same base SA configuration for his
mailserver, except he downloaded a ruleset from SARE via sa-update and it
appears to have enabled this feature (I've confirmed this by piping a
hotmail email body through "spamassassin -D" and for the same message, you
can see on his server that the X-Originating-IP is being processed by SA as
a "received by" whereas on mine it is not. I've read & grepped through his
SARE ruleset and we cannot find anything that would seem related to enabling
this feature, which is really puzzling me.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks,

Peter
