Bayes and PostgreSQL Performance

I have been considering converting from the default DBM format to 
PostgreSQL when I ran across a few bugs (#6444) that are open addressing 
possible performance issues with Bayes and PostgreSQL.

Would there be enough of a concern at this point to wait until some of 
the proposed patches and bugs are closed before making the jump to 
PostgreSQL, or are there specifics that we can rule out and push forward?
