problem is that some users of yum, rpm, and friends forget to make reinstall of all non perl core modules after new perl version is installed and since you just use repos from main stream, maintainers know how to make a old perl stay in your disk :) in gentoo "emerge --depclean" to have gentoo portage remove ebuild not needed anymore, i suppose yum, rpm can beat it ? -- http://localhost/ 100% uptime and 100% mirrored :)
