You haven't really said what in particular is taking long or how long that long is, but for comparison I've got a ~1GHz Athlon in my net enabled mass-check cluster that this week processed 7.8 kmsgs/hr. A random one of my 2.4 Ghz Duo Core Pentium D machines processed 17.9 kmsgs/hr this week. These numbers are low too because my Internet connection is saturated... non net-enabled these machines process 19.9 kmsgs/hr and 91.1 kmsgs/hr respectively. Of course mass-check is a best case throughput, but you should be able to obtain at least half that without any real effort. Daryl
