I'll tell you one good reason... cause we end up doing googles job for them!
They've got far more resources to clean up their own backyard! Part of me
would be happy just to list googlepages until they fix their problem. (Which
I obviously can't do.) 

Google doesn't seem to care about this recent issue, so we must protect
ourselves. Which for some of us means listing subdomains.
