You are not alone...
I am on many mailinglists and get per day ~1800 legetim messages.
But, depending of the day of the week I get between 500 and 38.000 spams.
Since "expurgate" (My ISP use it) produce to hight FP's, I have
deactivated the spamfilter and now I am filtering my own @home.
Disavantage: Curently my E-Mail (which I use here) becomes bombed by
China spam (over 80000 per day) but it can be simple
blocked by a procmail (since SA is to slow) rule:
